This year Linda will be tutoring two painting courses in Sineu, Mallorca on 13-19 June and 2-9 October. So if you fancy some sunshine with painting, sight seeing and great local cuisine then this is the holiday for you.
Sineu is the old roman capital of the island. This unspoilt ancient town offers opportunities for both townscape and landscape painting. It has a beautiful main church, cloisters, two public squares, cafes and ancient streets with distant vistas to the surrounding countryside. There are also opportunities to paint in the countryside which has olive groves, farmhouses tucked into the hillside, fields of crops and indigenous Mallorcan flowers everywhere.
Linda welcomes both the beginner and the more accomplished painter on her courses. She will help you to make the most of your abilities and to develop your own approach to brushwork, composition, colour and so on. But most of all she will encourage you to enjoy the sheer simple pleasure of painting.
Apart from the daily demonstrations there will be plenty of opportunity for one-to-one tuition as required. The demonstrations will be given in watercolour but guests can be given tuition in any other preferred medium that they wish to bring with them.
But it’s not all painting. The social side of the holidays is of course very important and you will enjoy the house-party atmosphere and the time spent with like-minded people. On one of the days you will be free to do a bit of sight seeing in the beautiful capital of the island, Palma which is rapidly gaining a reputation as a little Barcelona! Here there are art galleries, beautiful shops, restaurants and cafes.
