Winner of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters
Stanley Grimm Prize for 2007-2008

Welcome

Linda Meaney is a London based artist who specialises in large oil paintings of flowers. Sunlight and nature inspire her art. Her paintings capture the dazzling effect of sunlight on the most beautiful flowers. She enhances the transparency and texture of petals, the delicate qualities of reflected light and the incredibly subtle variations of colour.

Her beautifully detailed paintings and prints have been sold worldwide and exhibited in a number of London galleries including The Royal Academy of Arts and The Mall Galleries for The Royal Institute of Oil Painters where she won the prestigious Stanley Grimm Prize 2007-2008. Linda will be exhibiting at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the third time in May this year.

Linda will also be tutoring two painting courses this year in Sineu, Mallorca in June and October. Click here for more details.

Chelsea 2009

Linda Meaney at Chelsea in 2008

Linda has had another successful Chelsea Flower Show this May.

It’s always great fun and a joy to meet so many new people and friends made in the previous years. Some people even returned to say how much they have enjoyed living with a print or painting bought last year. Particularly during the dull winter months – when the sun shining out of the paintings brightened up their homes.

Linda is already looking forward to repeating the experience next year and hopes that she’ll be lucky enough to be given another stand. Details will appear on the website as soon as they’re known.
